ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

Iya Ju (Ifágbemisolà)
Iya Ju (Ifágbemisolà) is an Iyanifá and Umbanda Priestess whose work blends African-rooted spiritual traditions, Divine Magic, and forest medicines. She holds specialized initiations in Fire Alchemy through the Pena Branca College and Exu Alchemy through the Saraceni Institute.
As the founder of Escola do Pentagrama, Iya Ju focuses on making ancestral knowledge and mediumistic development more accessible, practical, and grounded in real spiritual autonomy. Her background in education and global content development informs her unique approach: combining deep theological study with hands-on spiritual guidance, using Afro-diasporic shamanic practices as tools for balance, healing, and personal growth.
RETREAT DETAILS
Step into a week of soulful immersion where rhythm, ritual, and nature converge. Iba Ashé invites you to explore Umbanda's living cosmology through drumming, sacred offerings, embodied dance, and healing ceremonies that open the heart and realign the spirit. Guided by experienced practitioners, you'll meet the Orixás, expressions of natural elements such as water, fire, earth, air, and sky. You will learn how these elemental forces shape love, health, justice, prosperity, and the deeper currents of daily life. Expect evocative ceremonies, hands-on workshops, and intimate teachings that blend ancestral wisdom with practical healing arts.
Retreat highlights:
- Four ceremonies: deep, transformational collective rituals
- Interactive workshops: music, prayer, offering-making, and healing practices
- Personalized guidance: small-group teaching and reflection
- Nature excursions: sacred walks, beach time, and guided contemplation in the tropical rainforest
- All-inclusive: nourishing meals and comfortable lodging
This is a sanctuary for seekers of medicine, music, and spiritual recalibration, whether you're new to Umbanda or continuing your path. Space is limited to preserve the integrity of the work.
